Symbiosis was a collaborative exhibition with Together We Make looking to celebrate the diversity of creatives living in or from the South West of England, drawing light to the intricate connections within our creative cultures making it a symbiotic whole.

Alongside a variety of exciting contemporary artworks by 35 ermerging artists held in an old church, the exhibition included a programme of events expanding across experimental music, spoken word, performance, and workshops put forward during our open call.

Oversounds
Oversounds was our first exhibition in which short films were the primary focus.
Our goal was to present a captivating mix of local talent from the South West of England alongside an excellent selection of global filmmaking creativity.
Held at the newly established Roseberry Road Studios in Bath, UK, the show saw the artwork of 40 emerging artists including 17 short films screened in a dedicated projection room on the groundfloor and attic space.

Upon that River: Sreened in our attic projection room was a 28-minute film by Dino Zhang, exlploring the hidden past of his family by examining an inherited photo album and conversing with a family member.

Hi, Hey! Hello.
Hi, Hey! Hello. was a half digital, half physical project by FRESH SALAD featuring 67 individual artists from around the globe.
We hosted the physical realisation of this exhibition at the Dog and Bone Gallery, Brighton and Hove, UK, a unique space inside two decommissioned phone boxes!
Postcards printed of each artwork were surrounded by a small selection of physical artworks from the local communtiy in Brighton.
The virtual side of this exhibition project featured all of the work in a virtual gallery space hosted here on our website.

Crawl Space
Crawl Space featured over 50 works from 50 UK based artists. Showcasing paintings, sculptures and site specific installations from Christine Chua and Bee Nicholls.
The opening night of Crawl Space presented performances from Tamara Klüver and Hal. H Lewis. As well as a SS24 fashion runway from Scar Kennedy called Dune Bugs.
It was held at the atmospheric Crypt Gallery, St Pancras in Central London between the 29th and 30th September 2023.

Abacus
Abacus is FRESH SALAD’s fourth virtual exhibition project, containing the works of 76 international artists.
This generous mix of visual styles and contexts from around the world included, for the first time, a selection of digital renders by Jonathan Vásquez and Jon Raine, and a project by Katia Mosconi exploring the life of refugees in Italy through the use of 3D architectural scanning.
The exhibition was live on our website and Kunstmatrix between the 16th-30th June 2023.

The Hanging Garden
This exhibition featured contemporary painting, printmaking, ceramics, 3D-printed sculpture, collage, textiles, animation, and two short films which were surrounded in the space by plants brought by the artists to complement the artwork.
The exhibition was held at Gallery 19a, Brighton between the 21st and the 25th of March 2023.

Canyon
Fresh Salad presents our latest virtual exhibition showcasing artwork from 72 emerging artists from around the world!
On the 18th February, the exhibition was projected onto the walls of RuptureXibit, Hampton Wick featuring a selection of short films for visitors to watch. This was accompanied by 15 contemporary UK artists’ work invited from our open call.
Also in the space was a variety of recent works by the resident artist Kate Howe.

Tub
The Walcot Chapel, built in 1812, was the location of the Tub art exhibition 2022.
Celebrating local artists from Bath and the surrounding areas, this show brought together a wide variety of practices; taking inspiration from things such as the natural world, domestic life, science fiction, consumerism, vehicular maintenence, folk culture, underwater worlds, and craft. This ecclectic mix of artwork complemented the immense building it inhabited.
With the majority of the exhibiting artists studying Fine Art at Bath Spa University, the rest having grown up in Bath, the Tub exhibition was a great opportunity for the people of Bath to see some of the exciting artwork produced by emerging creatives in the city.

Both exhibitions showcased work from emerging artists and creatives with an exciting mix of visual styles and contexts, from painting, sculpture and drawing to performance, photography and film.
This was our biggest show to date, with nearly 100 artists all working together to curate and contribute as part of our growing artist community. Thank you all for coming and being involved!

Silo Ono
Our first virtual exhibition featuring work from 50 artists. The Silo Ono Open Call encompasses varying visual styles and contexts from artists working across the globe. Creating an unmissable crispy and tasty showcase of new artistic practice.
The digital space is able to be navigated by the viewer first person, in an FPS style program. Consisting of three large rooms of works curated to enhance the apparent relationships contextually and physically. The show also includes links to two films titled Oyster and Virágom, Virágom. Live from the 1st to the 15th October 2022.

Hosted at the Centrespace Gallery in Bristol between the 12th and 17th August 2022, Fresh Salad showcased a variety of painting, sculpture, textile and fabric work, ceramics, and video installation for the public to enjoy.
Themes covered by these works encompass aspects of abstraction, science, spirituality, fantasy, identity, the everyday and Britishness. The diversity of media and subjects offered a gripping discourse both visually and contextually.
